We are seeking an enthusiastic individual looking to join our North team at Moorfields.We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Admissions Manager.This role is integral to provide effective leadership to the admissions team in north-west and north-east and to ensure that a professional, comprehensive and efficient administration service is provided.This role offers flexibility and we welcome applicants who are looking for a new challenge and growth.Main duties of the jobThis role includes but not limited to:To assist with the operational management and the effective delivery of services including admissions, pre-operative assessment, and the ward, including compliance with national patient waiting timesTo promote a positive image of the Trust’s services through the provision of excellent customer service to patients, relatives, carers and external stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to putting patients firstTo be responsible for ensuring high standards of data entry and quality are achieved and sustained across all services, in both paper and electronic record-keepingTo ensure adherence to the Trust’s Access Policy at all timesAbout usThis post is based at the City Road site, with visits to the North satellites once a week.At Moorfields, we provide more than just an excellent career and great colleagues to work with.   • Management experience at middle level in a healthcare environment or similarly complex organisation
  • Experience of managing a team and effective people management incl. managing sickness and performance
  • Experience of managing patient pathways or similar complex organisational processes

Desirable

  • Experience of working in an ophthalmology service

Education / QualificationsEssential

  • Good general education incl. English and Mathematics GCSE A-C or equivalent

Skills/AbilitiesEssential

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, managing conflicting priorities
