Description and requirements
Skanska is currently tendering for the Civils package of an offshore wind farm project. Once constructed, the wind farm located in the Irish Sea will cover 800 km2 and will be able to power 3.4 million UK homes.
The project will span 4-years and will involve a wide variety of large-scale, multidisciplinary engineering, including:
- Redeveloping a disused port in Glasgow in preparation for construction activities.
- Constructing the Gravity Base Structure foundations for the wind farm, each weighing up to 10,000t and measuring 60-70m in height.
- Transporting the Gravity Base Structures to the load out vessel.
This project will launch Skanska into the energy sector and will provide a great opportunity for professional development. We are looking for candidates with a wide range of transferable skills within construction delivery who would like to work on a flagship project in a new emerging sector.
We are searching for candidates who will be able to embed Skanska’s values within the project. We will be recruiting roles within disciplines, including:
- Project Managers
- Site supervisor roles
- Agents/Sub Agents
- Site Engineering
- Engineering and Design management
- Planning
- Health and Safety
- Environmental management
- Quantity Surveying and Commercial managers
The project aims to establish remote offices in London and Glasgow, with the main project office based at the selected port in Glasgow. We welcome the opportunity to explore and encourage flexible working opportunities, and this will be discussed for individual roles.
