Another new and exciting role has become available at The Skin Nerd. The Skin Nerd is now hiring an Online Skin Consultant professional for a one-year contract role. The Job Opportunity:
As an online skin consultant at The Skin Nerd, you will be responsible for performing virtual skin consultations for our Skin Nerd Network clients via Zoom. You would also help with support customer service with front line support for clients and customers, be required to assist at virtual or in-person The Skin Nerd and Skingredients events when they occur and effectively talking all things skin to all humans across the business. The Skin Nerd Network is an online consultancy and membership service, offering premium, 5-star service carried out through our educative one-to-one video consultations. In our Zoom consultations, your aim is to inform each Nerd Network member on the ingredients that will assist them with their skin concerns, ensuring that we offer unbiased brand information across supplements, skincare, skin friendly makeup and hair products. As well as video consultations, you are expected to help with other aspects of the business as required.
Our ideal Nerd (online skin consultant) is eager, enthusiastic about skin, passionate, high energy, adept at communication (both oral and written), keen to help people with their longterm skin health and having some IT skills and a background in customer service would be an advantage.
The Skin Nerd is fast-paced and ever-evolving with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
The job is hybrid working, and you will be provided with the relevant IT equipment and support to carry out the role from your home office. It is also expected that you will be able to travel to Dublin for company meetings approximately every 2 – 3 months.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Saturday
- Morning and evening shifts.
- Weekend shifts.
Primary Duties
To perform this role successfully, you must be able to carry out each of the following responsibilities effectively:
- Carry out professional and educational skin consultations.
- Provide a speedy and courteous turnaround on replies to all contact including live chat, email and other messaging, in line with company standards.
- Record content that would be used on our social media platforms on a weekly basis.
- Provide initial and follow-up service to all clients adopting our 360-degree approach.
- Attend sales and other company events in-person, at various locations around the country, in Ireland or potentially abroad if needed.
- Attend virtual events when required.
- Generate ideas to optimise and progress the role and service for our clients.
- Undertake project work as required.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to the development within the team to include culture, teamwork and learning.
- Cross-function collaboration and communication skills are essential, as this role will work closely with stakeholders across the whole company. You will be required to assist internal teams with support requests or requests to contact customers on their behalf.
- You must be a fantastic communicator and be able to manage and assist your future team to grow and to be their best.

Requirements
5 Years + minimum experience.
- 5 Years minimum experience working with skin in a clinic or salon background.
- You will need to have a quiet, private office space at home to carry out skin consultations.
- Great internet speed and connection is essential!
Competencies required for the role:
- Qualified to CIBTAC, or CIDESCO or equivalent with at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent client service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent IT skills and social media savvy or the ability to develop these skills quickly.
- A team player, with great people skills.
- An optimistic, can-do, flexible attitude.
