The Stanford Graduate School of Education seeks applicants for an open-rank position in politics, governance and political economy of education. We seek a scholar who brings empirical and conceptual insights to our understanding of the politics of education, educational policy making, educational governance, and/or the political economy of education with a preference for scholars who engage with policy makers or whose work directly informs policy. The scholar will join a community of researchers who study educational phenomena from a range of disciplinary perspectives. They will be expected to teach courses and advise and work with students on topics in their area of expertise.

three scholarly publications and/or well-developed papers

Ph.D./Ed.D. or enrollment in a Ph.D./Ed.D. program with anticipated degree conferral by the time of appointment as Assistant Professor is required.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
Professor: $210k – $280k
Assoc. Professor: $160k – $189k
Asst. Professor: $140k – $153k
Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
