This is delivered through the wealth management advisory team and supported by the client service function. The Wealth management team develop insightful thought leadership content and will lead and refine the capability of the wealth management advisory team.Role:A new opportunity has arisen for an Operational Risk & Quality Assurance Analyst in Unio Wealth Management. Operational risk management involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the advice process, operational processes, technology, and human factors within the wealth management business.This role will oversee the consistency and appropriateness of the advice process and our adherence to our ongoing suitability obligations. It includes measures to ensure and report on our Risk Management and Control Frameworks as they are embedded in the 1st Line of defence, compliant with regulations, adhering to the control environment and ensuring operational resilience.The successful candidate will report into the Head of Risk, Legal and Compliance as well as a reporting line to the Head of Wealth.Responsibilities:Develop detailed understanding of Unio Wealth management risk universe and operational processes to assess and recommend changes, improvements and/or innovations to the control environment and advice process.Design reports and dashboards to drive data driven assessment of the operational resilience status and advice process.Support data and information governance to ensure data quality, and compliance to minimise riskUtilise understanding of processes to assess whether operations, services, and systems have appropriate policies, controls, and guidance in place (i.e., design of the control environment)Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with business/advice activities, processes, and systems.Provide oversight of the first line controls, working with the first line function to improve controlsUndertake client risk portfolio reviews to ensure they align with client’s attitude to riskPerform internal controls quality assurance (QA) reviews to drive greater quality controls design, execution, greater efficiency, and rationalisation. Prepare regular risk reports for senior management, Board, Committees, and other relevant stakeholdersApply analytical skills to review information and determine potential weaknesses or exceptions to policies and regulatory requirements.Analysing business data and evaluating information and systemsPrepare output reports detailing observations, findings, and recommendations for review by Senior ManagerSupport with external and internal auditsUtilizes understanding of various processes to assess whether operations, services, and systems have appropriate controls in place (i.e., design of the control environment)Stay knowledgeable on the latest regulatory rules and changes and trends in the industryRole in training and ensuring competence of advisers of our advice processSkills And Experience:Excellent communication skillsStrong client focus, combined with analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong relationship and stakeholder management skillsAnalytical and organisational skills are necessary to conduct reviewsProcess Mapping and key interdependencies experienceAbility to work within tight deadlines and complete deliverables as assigned by the Head of Risk and ComplianceKnowledge of relevant Financial Services RegulationsKnowledge and understanding of governance/assurance processes and control environmentsPersonal Qualities:Demonstrate a high degree of energy, enthusiasm, and flexibilitySelf-motivated and driven individual who is capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a teamSuccessful candidates are likely to be confident multi-taskers with a good work ethic and a keen focus on attention to detail and qualityApplication Process:If you think you are a good fit for this role, then we invite you to apply.The Company reserves the right to draw up a shortlist as part of the selection process.
