Together with our customers we are creating a safer future for Kent and Medway.Being the Operational Training TechnicianYou will work alongside other Operational Training Technicians to ensure that courses are resourced effectively with facilities and equipment being well maintained and available to meet training course demands.What you’ll do

• Maintain and standard test all Operational Training equipment for the Training Team.
• Support a diverse catalogue of Operational Training courses ensuring all equipment is available for use.
• Report defects and arrange for repairs/replacement to avoid equipment being off the run.
• Maintain records of training equipment including defects.

• Work with the Operational Training Resourcing Manager in relation to resource allocation and prioritisation of tasks.

What you’ll bring

• Experience of a Firefighter role – Wholetime or On-Call.
• Knowledge and understanding of testing and maintenance of appliances and equipment.
• Ability to manage personal time and to work to deadlines.
• A full UK driving licence with Category C and D1.
