Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily operations and drive growth across warehousing, OEM production, distribution, logistics, and retail outlets. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
As Operations Manager, you’ll be joining a leading wholesale and retail distributor specialising in fluid transfer systems, mechanical connectors, lubricants, and related support products for the agriculture, construction, and engineering industries. Known for their innovation and commitment to excellence, the company has become a key player in the industry. Partnering with global brands, they serve customers throughout Ireland, including retailers, and end users.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of 60 across manufacturing, OEM warehousing, sales, retail, and distribution.
- Oversee operations at retail outlets and manage OEM production for key clients.
- Streamline workflows, optimise logistics, and contribute to improving IT systems (ERP, PowerBI).
- Drive succession planning and staff development while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align operations with strategic objectives.
- Manage financial reporting, cost control, and inventory to maximise efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and customers, addressing issues and identifying growth opportunities.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in operations management, ideally within an SME or family-owned business.
- Background in OEM warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, and retail operations desirable.
- Proficiency in IT systems such as ERP and PowerBI, with a keen eye for data analysis.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
