PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of Plant/Location Manager, handles the movement of products within the facility and provides customer service insuring accuracy and efficiency to maintain the reputation and profitability for the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Receive products into the location ensuring proper handling techniques, placement in location, proper labeling, efficiency, clean up, and record keeping.

Assists with the picking, sorting, and loading of customer orders.

Assures all products are accounted for with either an invoice or delivery ticket. 

Compiles data and prepares accurate invoices for all service work and products sold in a timely manner to ensure accurate receivables.

Provides quality customer service to walk-in customers.

Timely maintenance and repair of all equipment within the location.

Cleanliness, organization, and product security.

Count and record inventory as required by Branch Manager or Area Operations Manager.

Reconciles inventory variances.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists with general cleanliness of location, offices, and break room.

Operating and maintaining company equipment according to company standards.

Adhere to the company Uniform Policy, and maintain appropriate professional image.

Adhere to the company environmental health and safety policies and training.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or GED and experience operating equipment.

Demonstrated communication, customer service, planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to comprehend simple instructions and communicate one-on-one and in small groups of customers or other employees.

Prefer a general understanding of GROWMARK agronomy facility operations.

Demonstrated high level of productivity and the ability to get work done with others as well.

Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. 

Ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

Demonstrated basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals along with the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. 

Demonstrated skills related to general business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Frequently or continuously exposed or required to work in conditions that may include:

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • May include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • May be required to work at varying heights
  • Confined spaces
  • Continual, repetitive lifting 51-70 lbs

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
