Job DescriptionMy Dublin City Centre based client is looking for an Oracle DBA to join their existing team.About this role

Administration and maintenance of all Oracle applications and databases for installation, deployment, performance tuning, patching, cloning, backups, system administration, upgrades, mirroring and replication
Implement system enhancements to improve usability and performance
Develop and deliver process improvements
Liaise with clients in relation to their use of Oracle Applications
Collaborate with cross functional teams
Communicate and work in synergy with teams on a global scale
Participate in an on call rota

Required skills for the Oracle Database Administrator

Degree qualified with a minimum of 5 year’s experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
Proficient working across Oracle databases and applications 10g, 11g and 12c
Expert skills in installation/configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking/tuning, back-up/recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience on large and very dynamic environments
Working knowledge of Exadata is a definite advantage
Strong experience with monitoring RMAN backups using RAC
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
