JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The College of Agricultural Sciences, Farm Services Department seeks to hire an individual to fill a part-time SEASONAL position to work the farming season.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Assist with everyday farming activities using various farming equipment such as tractors, manure spreaders, and mowers on University farms.
- Assist with hay and straw harvest. Assist with field harvest operations.
- Assist with Snider Agricultural Arena maintenance and event staging requirements.
- Assist with general maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Perform clean-up duties in and around farm buildings and fields as needed.
- Tolerance to various environmental conditions is required.
This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid U.S. driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, (Mid May – Thanksgiving (up to 28 weeks). Some overtime and weekend work possible.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
