Job description

The Mackintosh School of Architecture (MSA) at The Glasgow School of Art is seeking to appoint a PhD Co-ordinator to work closely with the MSA Senior Management Team. You will liaise with the Head of Doctoral Studies on all aspects of the research degree process in MSA, contributing to enhancing the GSA’s reputation as a leading centre for research degree study in Architecture.

You will be educated to degree level, preferably with a PhD in a relevant discipline or hold a PGR supervisory qualification, as well as having experience and understanding of the Research Degrees Training Programme, Academic Quality enhancement and assurance, PGR recruitment, selection and admission processes and of the research funding application process.

You will also have excellent communication skills with an ability to foster effective working relationships, as well as excellent co-ordination and administrative skills.
