Salary: £24,008.99Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity to join our new flagship 500,000sq.ft Distribution Centre that is due to open early in 2017. A complex operation delivering high levels of service for a brand market leader, as the successful candidate you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional service to the customer. Reporting to the Stock Supervisor you will play a vital role in maintaining the stock integrity within the warehouse. With an eye for detail and excellent investigative skills you will ideally have stock control or PI experience and knowledge of WMS. Teamwork, communication and tenacity are key attributes, whilst the ability to work pro-actively on your own initiative is also vital to the success of our department.

  • Daily PI checks of all pick faces and appropriate reporting.
  • High bay VNA perpetual inventory checks and appropriate reporting.
  • Scissor lift perpetual inventory checks and appropriate reporting.
  • Full Investigations into any stock discrepancies found & missing pallets as a result of PI checks.
  • Marshall Lane spot checks for case pick, pallet presentation and base and labelling accuracy.
  • Daily reporting to management on all pick errors found – calculated cost implications.
  • Claim investigations from overs/shorts to end customers.
  • Timely processing and control of damages and accurate damage reporting.
  • Daily ‘walkaround’ of warehouse to identify spurious stock.
  • This list is not exhaustive and the successful position holder may be required to carry out any task which the Company might reasonably require you to do.

Qualifications

  • Previous stock control experience preferably.
  • Confident in analysing and acting on data.
  • Flexibility within the role to cover all areas of the stock department functionality.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of detail.
  • Able to manage own time to achieve daily targets efficiently and effectively.
  • Team player who can also work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
