Join us and contribute to the success of cutting-edge products while advancing your career in a dynamic, growing team.Role Overview: We are looking for a Pipe Fabricator to join our talented production team in Gloucester. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality landing gear pipes, including bending titanium tubes on NC bending machines. The role also involves brazing and hand-bending, alongside other key responsibilities. You’ll work with both conventional and CNC equipment for tasks such as hydraulic fitting swaging and pressure testing. You’ll also provide support to the Landing Gear Assembly line, all while maintaining safety standards, deadlines, and top-notch product quality.Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day tasks will involve bending titanium tubes using NC bending machines, as well as brazing and hand bending to meet precise specifications.
  • Operate conventional and CNC machinery for bending, swaging, and pressure testing of landing gear pipes.
  • Support the Landing Gear Assembly line as required.
  • Perform regular quality checks and self-inspect finished products to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce production time.
  • Follow technical drawings, specs, and testing instructions with precision.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace.

We can train you on the operation and use of NC bending machines if you do not have this.Shift Details & Premium Payments: Shift work will be required on a 4-shift, 4 week rotation.
£37,585 + Shift Premiums

  • Day Shift
  • Night Shift – Receive a 38.5% premium payment on your salary.
  • Bridging Shift – Receive a 39.75% premium payment on your salary.
  • Weekend Shift – Receive a 59.02% premium payment on your salary.
  • 5th Shift – Receive a 48.7% premium payment on your salary.

Who We’re Looking For: To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • A good understanding of the pipe manufacturing process and general fabrication techniques.
  • Experience with assembly and testing procedures, and proficiency with relevant machinery.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test instructions.
  • Knowledge of Foreign Object Damage (FOD) risks and quality tools such as 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Strong self-inspection skills and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of CNC machine programming is advantageous.
  • Experience with swaging is a benefit, but not essential.
