PMC Senor Telecom Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Telecom Engineer for one of our key clients in Abu Dhabi for downstream project as part of our telecom engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based full time at our client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with require travel to South Korea.

• To execute engineering Design, FEED and detail Engineering experience and Costing estimation for proposal in Telecom systems
• Responsible for complete engineering document activities like preparing block diagram, functional design specification, datasheets, MR, equipment layouts, interconnection drawings, termination drawings, cabinet drawings
• Take part in Technical bid evaluations, Vendor document review and approvals
• Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
• Provide discipline support to the business
• Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports
• Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution
• Deputizing for principal as required
• Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports
• Executing assigned personal objectives
• Management of third party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery
• Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement
• Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
• Coaching and mentoring as delegated
• Provides input to the performance management of direct reports.
• Manage and supervise direct reports.

Expected:

• MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience
• Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in IT / Telecom field including Security & Safety, wired & wireless communication in Oil & Gas Projects and extensive knowledge in LAN & WAN, ACS, CCTV, FOC, IDS, PAGA, Hotline systems, F&G and IP telephone etc.
• Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
