MissionAt IBA, we’re looking for a Polymer Processing and Enhancement Specialist to act as a key expert within our team, driving the development of advanced material solutions using electron beam and X-ray technologies. - Provide in-depth expertise on polymer processing and enhancement, using electron beam technologies to improve material properties.
- Support product management and sales teams in offering tailored solutions to customers in the polymer industry.
Challenges we trust you withKey Responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal expert on the application of electron beam technology for polymer processing and material enhancement.
- Advise sales teams on best practices for polymer modification, helping customers optimize their processes using electron beam solutions.
- Work with the product management team to ensure that product offerings align with market needs, especially in polymer applications.
- Analyze the competitive landscape of existing polymer technologies and assess their strengths, weaknesses, and cost implications (OPEX & CAPEX).
- Lead technical discussions and presentations for customers, providing guidance on the benefits of electron beam processing versus traditional methods.
- Collaborate with R&D to translate customer feedback into product improvements or new offerings.
What we valueYour Profile
- 5+ years of experience in polymer processing, materials science, or related fields
- Solid academic background in polymer science or polymer modification
- Deep understanding of polymer materials, their industrial challenges, and how electron beam technologies can enhance performance
- Recognized as an expert or go-to resource in polymer applications within cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory norms in the polymer sector
- Experience from the chemical industry, industrial manufacturing, or international medtech environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with product managers, R&D, and customer-facing teams
- Experience in customer interaction, with a track record of translating technical knowledge into tailored solutions
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze technical and economic performance (OPEX & CAPEX) of competing solutions
