Join Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine as a Postdoc in our Discovery Omics team in Beerse, Belgium. This exciting opportunity involves working on an innovative project funded by the Flemish Government, where you’ll help create an innovative high throughput single cell transcriptomics solution. Your work will have a profound impact on Janssen’s large molecule, gene, and cell therapy programs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing or develop new analytical approaches to model large-scale perturbations in single cell data.
  • Analyze and interpret high throughput single cell experiments in collaboration with wet lab scientists.
  • Successfully implement AI/ML methods to analyze large scale single cell perturbation experiments.
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively with disease, cell, and molecular biologists, other data scientists, IT, and statisticians to design and implement single cell experiments.
  • Strictly adhere to project timelines and ensure flawless execution of tasks.

QualificationsQualificationsEducation:

  • PhD or equivalent experience in Engineering, Data Sciences, Computer Science, or Bioinformatics.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in R and Python, or other programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience in single-cell analytics is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization, feature development, large language models, and generative methods is preferred.
  • Experience working within Amazon Web Services (AWS) is preferred.
  • Ability to identify, design, and implement processes to streamline workflows.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills in English.
  • Quick learner, motivated self-starter, and great teammate with a collaborative approach.
