:We wish to appoint a Pre-Construction Services Manager to our Group Construction Services team. The role will cover all aspects of Pre Construction Services delivery including construction proposals, pre construction planning, construction execution strategies and general input to construction projects delivery.As our construction projects vary in location, the role will require flexibility in relation to travel.The role is senior, client facing, requiring the ability to inspire confidence from the taking of a client brief through proposal preparation and onto construction delivery.:Will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Overall responsibility for the development and management of Pre Construction Services.
  • Work closely with the Group Construction Services leadership to grow, enhance and continually develop the overall service delivery.
  • Overall responsibility for Strategic Construction Proposals and general oversight/input to geographical BU Construction Proposals.
  • Responsible for CM inputs to multiservice proposals.
  • Responsible for the development of strategies and standardisation in relation to modularization/Offsite Manufacturing (OSM).
  • Champion the development of Pre Construction digitization in conjunction with the DePD team.
  • Champion research & development in Construction Engineering technologies
  • Responsible for the development and standardisation of Pre Construction Studies / Constructability
  • Life Cycle interface management – Design, Procurement, CQV
  • Central Core Competency Support
  • Management of Pre Construction Services personnel including recruitment, liaison, onboarding, coordination, training, development and mentoring.
  • Flexibility to step in and lead construction projects on site as required.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of Construction Health & Safety, Construction QAQC, Constructability, Contracts/Commercial and Project Controls.

  • Demonstrated capability in Construction delivery within specialized industrial sectors. (Life Sciences, Food & Mission Critical)
  • Professional Qualification in Engineering or Construction /Project Management desirable.
  • 10+ year’s professional experience.
  • Proven knowledge and strong understanding of EHS statutory requirements.
  • Good understanding of commercial contractual models and supply chain capability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at management and operation level.
  • Proven Construction Business management track record.
