EF International Language Centre on Hills Road, Cambridge is looking for a teacher that would be able to teach Research Methodology for our pre-PHD programme. Students who are currently pursuing a PHD are welcome to apply.

The Role

Lessons will be delivered in person at our Cambridge campus on Hills road. The position is paid hourly, £25-£27.70 (based on experience) and the successful applicant will teach at least 6 hours 40 minutes a week, with potential for more hours. Modules run at different school terms, all terms are followed by an exam week with paid marking.

We are particularly interested in applicants with a background in electronics and exotic particles. A syllabus and materials will be provided.

EF ILC Cambridge, EF University Preparation and EF Executive School have a vibrant and friendly working environment. Using our own blended learning system to teach EFL, Syllabus-Specific Content for University Preparation, and Tailored Courses at the Executive School, you will have an opportunity to teach students from around the world. We have a very strong academic team of senior and new teachers. Through CPDs, observations and peer observations we ensure our staff gain the skills required to cater for all our student’s needs.

Requirements

· Have completed or currently pursuing a PhD

· Teaching experience in any setting is a bonus; online teaching an advantage

· Keen interest in teaching methodology, with a strong desire to develop teaching skills and knowledge

· Highly motivated, proactive and positive, with a sense of initiative

· Able to encourage a sharing and positive attitude in both classroom and professional issues

· Sensitive to students’ academic and welfare needs
