Our client sectors include semi-conductor manufacturing, data centres, chemical distribution, pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals, wind farms, large scale residential developments, and public infrastructure.Job DescriptionOur client is expanding its Environmental Team and is currently seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist/Hydrologist and/or Principal Hydrogeologist/Hydrologist. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team based in Dublin, collaborating on challenging and exciting projects within the private and public sector. The team based in Dublin, includes a diverse group including environmental consultants, geologists, hydrogeologists, chemists, acoustic engineers and environmental scientists.The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to scope and deliver projects in line with client requirements. Candidates should have good people skills, be driven, and also work well in a team environment. A balance of technical, communication/written and field skills is sought to flexibly contribute to a variety of different projects.For the right candidate we will consider remote workers within the EU but the candidate would be required to travel to Ireland regularly.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior or Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for:Technical report writing.Providing leadership by overseeing, guiding, and managing junior team members and sub-consultants to meet project requirements effectively.Communicating with clients, external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with all project requirements.Assisting in project and program management for large and complex projects, including post-planning approval assistance.Preparation of and creating proposals to address client needs.Requirements:MSc in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or related disciplinesMinimum of 5 years’ experience working in the environmental sectorSelf-motivated, organised and capable of working on their own initiative.High attention to detail, excellent report writing, and communication skills.Ability to problem solve and assemble various strands of complex data into clear, concise outputs.Capacity to respond to tight timelines, reporting needs, and internal reporting structures.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.Preferred:>5 Years ExperienceFull Clean Driving Licence or Working towards would be beneficialMembership/Chartership of a recognised Environmental Professional body such as IEMA, IGI, IAH, CIWEM etc.Preparation of EIA (supporting chapters etc)Preparation of EPA Waste/IED/IPC Licensing Applications or Waste Facility Permit ApplicationsExperience in Contaminated Land Site Assessment, Quantitative Risk Assessment and Remediation of Contaminated SitesPackageWe offer a class leading competitive salary plus a range of benefits including a contributory pension, discretionary company bonus, PHI & Life Insurance, up to 25 days holiday and a flexible working policy.ContactAaron Behan is the consultant managing this position.If you have any queries about this role, you can contact Aaron by e-mail aaron@jobcontax.com or phone +353-1-9696684Tagciv
