The role:As MAG’s expert on essential water systems, including surface water, drinking water, wastewater, and fire hydrant systems, you’ll develop and manage a detailed Asset Technical Standard and provide technical design assurance ensuring projects align with those standards.Moreover, you’ll aid in creating a 25-year strategy and investment outline for our airports that ensures our assets correspond with fundamental business objectives like commercial expansion, client service, operational efficiency, health and safety, environmental compliance, as well as the dependability and readiness of assets.Collaborating with the Asset Maintenance development teams, you will assess the state and the expected future performance of the asset portfolio and help devise asset strategies and renewal initiatives that consider asset condition, lifetime costs, and risks.While working in partnership with the Operational and Asset divisions, you will help establish the risk tolerance and objectives for asset condition and expense. You will also contribute to developing an elite asset management practice for MAG and provide input on leading industry approaches to asset management.What will make you successful in the role?If you have a degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience, and preferably chartered engineer status, you could be the ideal candidate for this role. You should have at least five years of experience in water services projects and be skilled in developing strategies that consider various factors and information sources.You should also have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and be able to influence and negotiate on strategy and investment plans with internal customers and stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.Equal Opportunities & Reasonable AdjustmentsAt MAG we believe in the importance of diversity & inclusion for all.
