This Principal Software Engineer role is with a company in the Capital Markets industry with a strong emphasis on stocks, bonds and other investments. They’re very well-known globally and have a strong technology-focused culture. This is a chance to join their Dublin subsidiary which is also their IT centre of excellence – any innovation that happens within the company starts right here.They’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer with a focus on Java, React and Big Data to work on their highly-scalable, robust and distributed stock-trading software, building new applications and adding features to existing ones. The software needs to be low latency and high throughput to tolerate huge amounts of data flowing through it, as well as a generous amount of users on it concurrently, so it presents a strong challenge to anyone who’s eager to make an impact.The ideal candidate for this Principal Software Engineering role will have more than 10 years of experience with Java, strong experience with recent frontend technologies (e.g. React), experience with cloud-based software and strong experience with Big Data (Spark and DataBricks or similar). Most current employees go to the office once a week.You will:

• Build complex user-facing and scalable software
• Collaborate with a team of well-established engineers

You have:

• 10+ years of experience with Java
• Strong experience with Big Data and Frontend technologies
• Great communication skills
