Job description
Principal Software EngineerOur client, a leader in the Galway Tech sector, is seeking to expand their technology team in Galway.The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technology field.
- Minimum 8 years overall experience with 5+ years’ hands on Java experience, preferable within financial services and/or a shared service model
- Strong attention to detail & analytical skills.
- Experience working with some of the following: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Angular, NPM, Maven, Git, REST.
- Experience working with AWS Cloud Technologies and Services such as EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, VPCs is welcomed.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining build/deployment pipelines.
- Strong process management & decision-making skills.
- Experience in supporting testing in UAT & Production environments.
- Well-practiced in software quality concepts and tools at different levels of testing (unit, component, integration, and functional tests).
- Strong understanding of coding patterns and engineering standard methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile standard methodologies within the Scrum context.
