The EA Private Cloud Network Operations Manager is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of EAIT’s network infrastructure. You will ensure the network operates, securely, and reliably, supporting the business’s technological needs. You will lead a team of network engineers and collaborate with different EAIT departments and is focused on incident, capacity, problem and performance management, that includes automation and escalation.
As a network operations manager, you will report to the Infrastructure Operations Manager.
Role Overview:
The EA Private Cloud Network Manager maintains and enhances our network infrastructure, encompassing LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks. We are looking for with deep technical expertise and to manage network operations and projects.
You will analyze processes and workflows within the existing infrastructure and network services lifecycle including the delivery for our customers, looking for ways to automate it.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the supporting, planning, configuration and deployment of our network environment, including switches, routers, load balancers, wireless, firewalls, WAN accelerators and other hardware.
- Make recommendations and provide us daily operational maintenance of existing network infrastructure (Cisco and Palo Alto)
- Implement network performance monitoring and optimization strategies.
- Ensure the network infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
- Lead a team of network engineers, assign and manage workloads, encouraging a collaborative and work environment and provide performance feedback.
- Manage relationships with network hardware and service vendors.
- Evaluate and procure network products and services to meet our organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with the partners to understand their network needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Plan, build network-related projects, ensuring they are completed.
- Use project management methodologies to coordinate tasks and resources.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and increase resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Stay current with latest network technologies and industry trends.
- Implement continuous improvement programs to enhance network capabilities and service delivery.
- Lead the response to network incidents and conduct RCA to avoid recurrence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in network management or a similar role.
- Minimum Professional level certification – Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification
- Experience managing large-scale network environments and team management skills.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, python).
- Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
