Job description
The RoleReporting to the SVP of Procurement, the Procurement Director (AVP) role has a focus on new aircraft procurement and will work with OEM, MRO, after-market suppliers and the Transaction & Transition Team and wider New Aircraft Team.The responsibilities of the role include:
- Program management of all new placements with major OEM’s
- Assist airlines with BFE selections and offer ability for HOV
- Manage and control all MRO component costs and minimise expenditure
- Coordinate all invoice activity with Finance
- Evaluating and negotiating price proposals for all major and minor BFE equipment (seats / galleys, IFE & safety).
- Negotiation with vendors
The PersonThe ideal candidate for the position should meet the following requirements:
- Degree educated in business, technical or another relevant
- 3 years + experience in a similar role ideally within the leasing environment
- New aircraft configuration and BFE procurement experience is essential
- Strong analytical skills and a clear understanding of airworthiness requirements (FAA/ EASA / CAAC) and compliance processes.
