Job description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the Burnley area for a Production Supervisor.
JOB PURPOSE
The Production Supervisor will, under the immediate direction of the Production Co-Ordinator, operate within the Health and Safety Policies of our client ensuring Health, Safety, Quality and Environment standards are maintained at all times.
This Role has responsibility for Operators and supporting the manufacture of products and Rework streams of different Products to ensure the targeted outputs are met, both in terms of Quality and Performance, ensuring the manufacture of products and documentation are to Customer specifications at all times.
The general Supervisor tasks are:-
· Utilising Labour in an effective way to ensure performance.
· Be the Production contact in Production Co-Ordinator absence.
· Be the first point of call for Production information from the Line Operatives.
· Ensure communication to Operators is effective and ensure feedback in return is understood.
· Ensure all required start up checks are completed to the correct standard.
· Ensure daily reports are completed to a high standard and sent to relevant people.
Flexibility to support within other Operational areas is also required.
In addition to these functions, Supervisors are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required and that they are capable of.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience of working as a production supervisor within an FMCG environment.
The position is a temporary to permanent position after 12 weeks.
The rate of pay for this position is £14.00 per hours, rising to £14.40 after 12 weeks.
This position is working a day shift Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 18:00pm
