In this vibrant, fast-growing research environment, you will help us transform either the world of Health & Social Care or Education through outstanding research delivered alongside sector partners.In Health & Social Care, we’re looking to recruit exceptional candidates – including academics in nursing and allied health and professionally qualified academics in social work – to build a transformational academic career. You can work anywhere across the broad field of health and social care, but we have specific research priorities in: public health and global health; social work and social care (particularly learning disabilities and autism and the social aspects of ageing); mental health; communication, development and disabilities; and psychological approaches to research.Our Education research is also world leading. By research power, we ranked ninth out of 83 education submissions in REF 2021, and are in the global top 150 of the 2023 QS World rankings. To further these research strengths, we are looking to recruit exceptional candidates across educational age phases and areas of expertise, including: exploring the relationship between theory and practice within early childhood education; critical policy studies in education; equity, diversity, and inclusion; mathematics education; pedagogical innovation; post-developmental childhood studies; and community-based learning. We are also seeking statistical and process evaluation expertise.Whatever your area of expertise, you will have the freedom to tailor your development and build your academic reputation. With in-depth understanding of your subject, we would expect you to be building an international reputation as a thought leader in your field.We are looking for a sustained track record of delivering high quality research outputs and securing external funding of significant value. You will ideally have a PhD and must also have made significant contributions in academic leadership.
