(ZTS) is an unregulated entity, which under Service Level Agreements (SLAs) provides services solely to, and for the benefit of companies within Zurich Insurance Group.
ZTS provides full lifecycle services for treasury and derivative transactions covering trade execution, valuation, settlement, and accounting.
Treasury Solutions is part of Zurich Treasury Services and has ownership of the core Group Treasury systems. The successful candidate will be working as an analyst programmer within a dynamic project team. This role is based in the IFSC, Dublin 1.Your RoleAs a Programmer Analyst your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Design and develop programs for a mission-critical system
- Develop programs working closely with other developers contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new products, controls & outputs
- Unit test code for robustness, usability, and general reliability
- Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs and improve application performance
- Help maintain code quality, development processes and automated testing
- Business needs drive a varied workload (Development, Incidents, Infrastructure troubleshooting & resolving)
Your Skills & ExperienceAs a Programmer Analyst your skills and qualifications will include:Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related).
- Strong competency in a core programming language – Java ideally.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Enthusiastic and energetic personality with the ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work on own initiative and effectively in a team environment.
- 3+ years commercial Programming experience (Java & SQL).
- Experience with version control – ideally GIT
Beneficial skills but not essential:
- Financial Services experience.
- Microsoft Office tools such as Excel.
- Issue tracking & project management systems.
- XML, XSLT, CSV & JSON.
- Dev Ops tools & CI/CD tools – in particular Maven, Nexus, Terraform & Azure Dev Ops.
- AWS / Azure – The company aims to capitalize on newly cloud-migrated applications,
- offering opportunities to engage in innovative projects that utilize cloud technology.
