Job PurposeJob Title: Project CoordinatorAdvertised Salary: £30,000 + benefitsLocation: Remote, with regular travel across our required. Our current main Hubs: Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley, Newark, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Gloucester, London.We’re the UK’s largest waterways charity, looking after 2,000 miles of your canals and rivers across England and Wales. Our plans are to deliver a substantial increase in expenditure on our waterway network to improve its resilience through the growing impact of climate change.The Project Coordinator will support the delivery of the Trust’s national programme of projects, including Priority Projects, Enterprise projects, MEICA projects and Other projects, to improve programme stability and provide clear reporting which will contribute to the efficient delivery of the programme. The role will provide support in compiling programme status reports, reviewing and issuing project progress reports, administering change management procedures, preparing master programmes and monitoring project resource levels.Location & coverageOur Project Coordinator role will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces as and when required for team working a collaborative meetings. Regular accessibility to this is essential.Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & ExperienceYou’ll be leading a critical component within our Infrastructure and Programme PMO team to ensure the successful delivery of our investment programme through increasing our PMO maturity across a number of measures and ensuring appropriate controls are managed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.Key accountabilities:

  • Compile a national programme to ensure visibility of project delivery status.
  • Monitor project management resources against forecasts and assist Project Team Managers to balance resources across teams.
  • Administer programme change management and reporting.
  • Review and monitor Project Progress Reports on a monthly basis.
  • Compile central progress reports from project manager’s individual progress reports.
  • Monitor individual project schedules and liaise with Project Managers to update these to reflect latest information.
  • Develop programme reports and dashboards to improve management information for the Project Delivery Team.
  • Maintain programme records for framework contract KPI measurement.
  • Provide delay code reports and analysis on programme delays.
  • Schedule and arrange Peer Review Meetings (and other project gateway review meetings).

About youTechnical:

  • Experience of working in a collaborative team environment, balancing differing stakeholder requirements, and providing accurate delivery reports.
  • Some knowledge of project management processes and systems.
  • Some experience of SAP particularly in the Logistics, Accounting and Information System modules.
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 development and Microsoft Power Platform.

General:

  • Ability to manage stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence.
  • Excellent IT skills particularly in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word to manipulate and report data as well as Microsoft SharePoint (or equivalent software).
  • Some experience in the use of Microsoft Project and SAP (or equivalent software).
  • Excellent standard of written and verbal communication.
