Project Lead
Work location: Cork, (on client site and TELUS Mahon office if required)
Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week (with degree of flexible hours)
Language: Fluency in English required
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project / Team Lead to join our team in Cork city center. We work with a global tech client where you’ll be managing a team of approx 15 to 20 people in an agile, fast paced environment. Our project focuses on improving the model for AI personal assistant software systems across a number of languages. An IT background is not essential but general technical confidence is a must. You’ll be responsible to provide guidance and support to team members on a daily basis ensuring project delivery success. You can expect to work and coordinate with colleagues both onsite in Cork and virtually with our sister team in Barcelona, all contributing to successful project delivery.
Primary responsibilities:
● Deliver project and task guidance to your team members. Communicate project details, new tasks and updates and related instructions
● Review project performance metrics daily and quality checking as per current project/ task guidelines to ensure deliverables are met
● Track and report patterns of productivity, accuracy and performance which may vary depending on current tasks
● Monitor knowledge tools and other related project applications for content accuracy and escalate issues
● Proactively probe for and identify knowledge and skills gaps and weaknesses, offer and implement solutions and training.
● Set up and prepare technical equipment for new team members and manage (basic level) ongoing technical issues
● Hold regular team meetings, encourage feedback, answer team questions, and escalate when necessary
● Hold fortnightly 1:1’s with your team members on performance, goals and personal development topics, keep documentation on all
● Identify & support underperforming team members
● Attend and contribute to meetings with client, TELUS International management and teams members as necessary
● Take direction from and provide feedback to Production Lead and Staffing Project Manager
● Manage and approve weekly attendance of assigned team members, holidays, absences, project hours approvals etc.
● Support team members to grow in their roles, engage in regular monthly team building activities

● Ability to lead, people management skills
● Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with colleagues at various levels as well as clients
● Ability to work on own initiative and also to collaborate
● Comfortable dealing with conflicts & resolutions
● Proactively seek to improve processes and procedures.
● Flexibility to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently
● Highly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to quality
● Proficient in tracking, analysing, and reporting issues
● Ability to understand and work with team members across multiple locales.
● Ability to understand and prioritize tasks & issues
