Excel Recruitment are delighted to work with a leading Irish main contractor in the construction industry in hiring an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects in Dublin on a permanent basis. This role involves managing project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget management, and compliance with health and safety standards.Key Responsibilities for Project Manager
- Lead project sessions to define scope, timelines, and resource needs.
- Regularly monitor project progress against the plan, adjusting timelines and resources as needed to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
- Develop and track project budgets, approving expenditures and managing cash flow.
- Manage cross-functional teams and liaise with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and expectations.
- Proactively identify potential project risks, including technical, financial, and schedule-related risks, and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, permits, and health & safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular project updates.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of professional development and continuous learning within the team.
Candidate Requirements for Project Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of construction project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and safety standards.
