General Duties:
Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Create, monitor, and update detailed project schedules to ensure all phases are on track and completed within established timelines. Adjust schedules proactively in response to any delays or changes.
Coordinate and Manage On-Site Teams and Subcontractors: Directly oversee on-site personnel and subcontractors to maintain alignment with project objectives, ensuring efficient work sequences and fostering clear communication between all parties.
Oversee Project Budgets and Cost Control: Track and manage project budgets, closely monitoring expenses to prevent overruns and implementing corrective measures if variances arise. Review and approve costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Ensure Compliance with Safety and Quality Standards: Uphold rigorous safety protocols and quality controls, conducting routine audits and assessments to verify that work aligns with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Review Project Plans, Specifications, and Identify Risks: Examine project documentation thoroughly to identify potential risks and opportunities early on. Develop mitigation plans to address risks and capitalize on value-engineering opportunities where feasible.
Maintain Client Communication and Provide Regular Updates: Act as the primary point of contact with clients, delivering consistent updates on progress, budget, and schedule, and promptly addressing any concerns or changes requested.
Approve and Manage Resource Allocation: Evaluate project needs and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and meet project demands. Make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Conduct Regular Site Inspections and Monitor Progress: Perform routine site visits to assess the quality, safety, and progress of work. Address any issues on-site immediately, facilitating smooth operations and maintaining alignment with project goals.
Prepare and Manage Project Documentation: Ensure that all necessary project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, change orders, and risk assessments, is organized, updated, and shared with relevant stakeholders.
Oversee Compliance with Environmental Regulations: Implement and monitor environmental protection practices, ensuring that all site operations comply with environmental regulations, including waste management and erosion control measures.
Requirements
10+ years Construction experience.
Good communications skills, written & verbal
Good organisational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail & problem solving skills.
Can work under pressure & has the ability to work to deadlines & targets.
Computer literate with programmes such as word, excel, etc.
Ensure Health and safety guidelines are being followed
