Overview of the role:
Saputo Dairy Products Canada is looking for a Project Manager Engineering.
Under the Engineering Director supervision, the Project Manager is responsible for
planning, estimating and carrying out capital projects related to the field, through the
Canadian division plants. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a high
level of leadership.
Travel across Canada will be required for this position, depending on the project (30-50% of the time).
- Salary ranges from $88 325 to $115 930*** offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.****

How you will make contributions that matter:
- Plan, manage and support the various CapEx projects for Canadian plants, process installation projects, packaging, building and utilities;
- Establish preliminary concepts for equipment layout and present them to plants and related departments;
- Actively participate in the development and maintenance of installation standards;
- Coordinate and supervise the execution of projects, including monitoring the various subcontractors and make yourself available during the work (perhaps outside regular working hours);
- Collaborate with the buyer in the engineering department, define equipment specifications and purchase offers, make their selection and group purchases in order to optimize costs;
- Prepare budget estimates in close collaboration with other departments (operations, maintenance);
- Ensure rigorous management of the allocated budget and communicate progress on a regular basis;
- Establish, monitor and respect project schedules, communicate to the project team the progress, problems encountered and solutions proposed.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent training;
- Member of a professional engineering association in a Canadian province is an asset;
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, experience in agri-food is an asset;
- Knowledge of automation and controls is an asset;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software, the Office suite including MS Project;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a field approach;
- Demonstrates a high degree of autonomy, ability to prioritize and manage emergencies;
- Communicates in English (both orally and in writing);
- Have a car and a valid driver’s license;
- Be a team player and have an appetite for big challenges;
- Willingness to travel across Canada (30-50%);
