This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager to oversee and manage end to end new product development projects for a leading FMCG manufacturer. You will give guidance and leadership for NPD activity across all functions in the business.This roles is initial on a 12 month fixed term basis.You will be providing leadership of the NPD team for specific NPD activities ranging from brand new product introduction and existing product development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the planning team ensure availability of wine for NPD projects
  • Act as a key operational contact for NPD funnel ideas and concepts
  • Ensure the NPD team manage the operational timeline for packaging development and redesign to hit launch targets for each region
  • Chair NPD review using the and ensure actions are taken and followed through
  • Oversee and support with supply chain, engineering and manufacturing projects
  • Ensure QAS and BOMs are sent in a timely way to meet deadlines
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the effective execution of projects
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Manage the relationship with all stakeholders and ensure clear communication
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Track and improve departmental KPIs and hit defined targets

This a hybrid role (2/3 days on site versus working from home)Growing FMCG company| Exposure to broad projects from concept to launchThis role is suited to an NPD/Process Technologist looking to step up into a project management role or Projects specialist looking for a new challenge. The successful applicant will have:

  • Ideally a Science, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related degree
  • Experience supporting in project management in the FMCG industry
  • Experience of packaging technology and manufacturing techniques
  • Experienced in Lean tools and techniques. TPM, Process Mapping, Lean Six Sigma
  • Excellent cross functional communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently
  • An understanding of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Microsoft Office experience

  • An annual salary of £40,000 – £48,000 FTC (depending on experience)
