Package: New Vehicle (after probation), Fuel/Mileage Allowance, Pension, Healthcare, Performance Bonus, Professional DevelopmentCompany OverviewOptimize Recruitment is seeking a Project Manager to join a well-established Carlow-based main contractor specialising in pharmaceutical, food production, and industrial projects across the Southeast. The company has long-term contracts with global industry leaders, focusing on internal fit-outs, extensions, heavy civils, and power infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a focus on quality delivery, they offer an excellent work environment and long-term career progression.Projects are primarily based in:

• Waterford City
• Wexford Town
• Carlow Town

The location of the role is flexible, depending on preference. The successful candidate will typically manage either:

• Two smaller projects (€1M–€3M), or
• One larger site

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of pharmaceutical and industrial projects from start to completion
• Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure quality and efficiency
• Manage budgets, schedules, and risk assessments to keep projects on track
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality control, and building regulations
• Act as the key liaison with clients, stakeholders, and senior management
• Provide leadership in problem-solving, design coordination, and site execution

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, PM, Engineering, Trade or related discipline
• 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in pharma, industrial, or food production projects
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience managing multiple sites or large-scale projects (€1M–€15M)
• Knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and contract management
• Ability to work across multiple locations in the Southeast
