Location: Dublin 1Job Type: Full-timeSalary: DOE – competitive salary based on level of experience & skills of candidateSummary DescriptionRetail Shopping Centre on behalf of Interact requires an experienced Project Manager. Suitable candidate will preferably have qualified as an Architectural Technician or similar third level qualification and who has progressed their career to have a good understanding of the complexities of buildings, regulations and technical guidance documents. They must have the ability to read and ideally draft or alter architectural drawings.Candidates should have a good general understanding of construction of and building alterations and refurbishments. Candidates should have strong Project Management skills and ability in small-scale construction. Previous experience working in a Shopping Centre/major retailer from a client-side perspective would be an advantage.Candidates should be able to brief, supervise, communicate and negotiate with Architects, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Contractors & Tenants. The role will also involve liaising with Tenants on their maintenance & operational obligations within their units.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Centre contractor works during any Landlord project works.
  • Liaise & communicate with Landlord Project Management team throughout fit-out projects.
  • Familiarise yourself with Tenant fit-out details and make sure they deliver the fit-out per agreed specifications.
  • Ensure all contractors adhere to all health & safety requirements whilst working in the Centre.
  • Lead all plant replacement/upgrade projects from tendering to completion stages.
  • Maintain, update & retain all drawings including cabling, ducting & plumbing routes.
  • Keep Centre updated on new legislation within your field.
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, maintain the maintenance elements of the Centre’s fire safety strategy manual.
  • Advise & assist the Maintenance Manager in the tendering of all maintenance contracts to ensure best value for Tenants & centre.
  • Any other duties commensurate with this level of post.

Experience, Qualifications & Attributes required for the position.

  • Qualified Architectural Technician or similar 3rd level qualification with previous design experience.
  • Previous experience within a relevant environment such as a Shopping Centre or similar environment.
  • Sound knowledge of key systems found within large commercial buildings /Shopping Centre Environment.
  • Possession of a health & safety qualification would be an advantage.
  • Experience in operation and interrogation of BMS and CMMS.
  • Computer literate and technology aware/up to date with technology within the building management/ facilities management arena.
  • Have an innovative approach and an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Be results and achievement orientated.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required.
