Morgan McKinley are delighted to be recruiting a Property Claims Handler to join an expanding Cork based team.Reporting to the Head of Property the successful candidate will be responsible for handling a portfolio of commercial property desktop claims from investigation to settlement, ensuring company standards are met in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security.Responsibilities will include:

• Investigating, negotiating, determining the outcome and agreeing settlement of claims in a professional manner by completing desktop investigations to possibly also include utilisation of our remote video survey app.
• Assisting and liaising with policyholders, their representatives, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims
• Completing on desktop investigations and damage surveys for claims
• Producing reports in compliance with professional standards and internal
• guidelines in accordance with agreed timescales
• Actively contribute towards McLarens’ business development programme
• Ensuring time reporting and billing is compliant with internal standards,
• processing and systems
• Undertaking projects and other ad hoc activities as required, to include participation in marketing activities on occasion
• You will be expected to inspect, report upon, process and progress claims of small and medium value in a timely, customer focused manner, in accordance with existing client and internal sla’s, and your level of experience should demonstrate such strengths and capability

Successful candidates will:

• Have experience in the Property claims sector, or in allied professions
• Demonstrate a focus on quality and communication
• Have organisational skills in a customer-focused environment.
• Have proven capability in negotiation, decision making, problem-solving and reporting skills.
• An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative.
