My client, a highly reputable food service supplier is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team. In this dynamic role, you will work with our suppliers to purchase key products to fulfill customer requirements. Responsibilities of this Purchasing Manager job include:

• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, leveraging industry knowledge to source products.
• Negotiate pricing and terms to secure the best value for the organisation.
• Identify market gaps and opportunities in the food service sector, conducting competitor analysis.
• Support the Commercial & Buying Manager in sourcing new and replacement products to align with customer demand and strategic objectives.
• Manage buying for specific product ranges across suppliers.
• Research market trends to capitalise on growth opportunities.
• Maintain the supplier database and provide reports for senior management.

Requirements for this Purchasing Manager job include:

• 2-3 years of experience in a buying/commercial role within the hospitality, foodservice or FMCG sector.
• Strong negotiation, organisational, and planning skills.
• Proven analytical and systematic approach with attention to detail.
• Commercially driven with a focus on profitability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
