Job Description:Based at the ‘Home of British Helicopters,’ we are currently recruiting for a Quality, Health and Safety Aircraft Services Officer to work in our Aircraft Services department. As the Quality, Health and Saf Aircraft Services Officer, your main purpose will be to focus on supporting the Aircraft Service maintenance operations across a number of national and international sites, by providing Quality and Health and Safety expertise to quantify and resolve issues identified relating to the delivery of products and services.Please note that this role is a JFF Level 6 (Manufacturing.)What you’ll be doing as the Quality and Health and Safety Aircraft Services Officer;

  • Support SAP Quality notification investigations across the function by providing engineering and or maintenance guidance
  • Ensure processes are being adhered to and monitor the quality of the data being inputted into SAP
  • Investigate where processes are not being followed and to provide or co-ordinate any training required
  • Support the Off-site locations both nationally and internationally in maintaining their respective 145 approvals and with the resolution of Non Conformances raised during audits
  • Support the divisional management team in providing support to remote locations with the application of company Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures by acting as the liaison between the division and the Health and Safety and Environmental department
  • Provide support and advice to the Aircraft Services Maintenance organisations with the resolution of issues reported via the company’s Health and Safety electronic management system
  • Support the off-site operations maintaining compliance with their respective approvals and alignment to the company Health, Safety and Environmental Operating Manual
  • Oversee actions, investigations, and incidences raised on the Health and Safety electronic management system
  • Support the off-site operations in meeting the company objectives set by the Health and Safety and Environmental department
  • Arrange Health and Safety and Environmental mandatory and vocational training across the Aircraft Services Departments
  • Implement Aircraft Services Bowties in line with the company Health and Safety management system
  • Facilitate maintenance error investigations and subsequent event review groups
  • Resolve issues identified via Leonardo Aviation Safety Occurrence Reporting (LASORs)

What we need from you;

  • Comprehensive knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations, including practical experience of helicopter maintenance and operational support
  • Undertake specialist work and provide professional advice and make recommendations to support business effectiveness and decision making
  • Proficient in Health and Safety Working practices and regulation requirements relating to Aircraft maintenance operations
  • Educated to at least HNC level in relevant aerospace subject, or have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship followed by a period of employment in all aspects of aerospace support functions
  • Excellent communication skills and maintain an astute business and commercial awareness
  • Strong Computer literacy and familiarity with all the main Microsoft Office packages
  • Flexibility to travel both nationally and internationally on a regular basis
