Our advanced E-beam and X-ray technologies enhance medical device sterilization, polymer treatment, and food irradiation, improving safety and material performance worldwide.Your Role:As an R&D Scientist – Environmental & Analytical Chemistry, you will be joining our Discovery Lab (https://www.iba-worldwide.com/iba-discovery-lab), which is dedicated to developing innovative projects aimed at addressing global environmental challenges. A key initiative within this lab involves creating environmental solutions to tackle persistent micropollutant contamination, such as PFAS, through advanced high-energy electron beam irradiation technology.As part of an expert research team, your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in ongoing research projects focused on micropollutant remediation.
• Designing and conducting experiments using various analytical techniques used in scientific research and industry for the identification, quantification, and characterization of materials.
• Analyzing experimental data and preparing comprehensive reports.
• Managing laboratory operations, including procurement, safety compliance, and coordination with subcontractors.

Your Profile:Must-have:

• PhD or Engineering degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Strong expertise in in one or more analytical techniques (LC, MS, GC, SEM, XRD, XPS, TGA, HPLC, ICP-MS, FTIR, …).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluency in English (C1-C2); proficiency in French (B2) is a plus.

Nice-to-have:

• Industrial experience in environmental chemistry.

• Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
• Proactive and assertive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Exceptional written communication skills in English.
