If so, then this exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity may be the next career step for you.Due to rapid growth and the strategic importance of the discipline of bioengineering at Imperial, the major new translational White City Campus, the flagship Sir Michael Uren Biomedical Engineering Research Hub and a growing focus on sustainability enabled through facilities at the Silwood Park campus, the wishes to appoint up to two outstanding academics at Reader or Professor level.   • BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING (solving problems related to the life sciences and their applications for health)
  • BIOMIMETICS (using the structures and functions of living organisms as models for the design and engineering of materials and machines).

You will apply for research funding and manage the resources (including where relevant a research team) of successful grants.You will teach and examine courses at all levels (undergraduate, MSc and PhD degrees) through lectures, seminars, tutorials, coursework and personal supervision.
