Purpose of RoleReporting to the National Operations Director and accountable for first-rate service quality, achieved through the territory strategy of optimisation, efficient deployment of fleet and people resource, maintenance of strong relationships with local customers and sales team counterparts and stock management across the defined territory. Takes accountability for service fulfilment and ensuring financial / sales targets are met in partnership with the Divisional Sales Manager(s) & Customer supply manager(s) supporting vending efficiency and cost to serve. Accountable for the service for all customers within the defined territory, visiting customers on a defined call plan driving customer experience and developing relationships to support both the customer and sales teams with operational efficiencies through metric driven dashboards. Direct accountability for all Express locations Health & Safety, resource compliance and driving our principles of collaborative culture. Implementation for identified improvements across the identified territory.Role Responsibilities

  • Implementing continuous improvements that are identified through our business strategy across the territory.
  • Working with the Hub Operations manager to oversee day-to-day operations of multi-site locations across the territory.
  • Effectively recruit, onboard, and lead your team, across multiple sites, in line with our Principles, ensuring to develop, motivate and coach
  • Accountable for driving our business strategy working closely with senior leadership to align with overall company strategy and act as liaison between staff and senior leaders, providing updates on progress and challenges.
  • You will be accountable for communicating and executing key business strategies and updates whilst creating an overall great place to work. This also includes engaging and communicating with remote workers that may be situated within your territory but may not form part of your direct team.
  • Take ownership of issues affecting service fulfilment, identify resolutions, implement actions, review outcomes, and escalate where appropriate. Action continuous improvement to streamline processes and improve overall operational performance.
  • Effective management of the branch fleet, delivery operations and optimisation software (Maxoptra) to ensure that our customers receive the right goods, at the right time, with optimal efficiency and secure proof of delivery for the Territory.
  • Strong partnerships and collaboration with Divisional Sales Managers to explore, understand and support opportunities to grow profitable sales within the local area, supported via regular Business Reviews to achieve a joint sales target.
  • Accountable for the service metrics for the territory that are customer centric, Visiting customers on a schedule to ensure that all territory customers are supported with clear driven operations metrics of service & fulfilment.
  • Accountable for review, action planning & visiting customers that fall below our business strategy customer service metrics.
  • Attend customer QBR’s to support sales with all operational service targets.
  • Enhance local visibility and presence via optimised deployment of the branch fleet, reduced reliance on couriers, and maximising opportunities to grow sales within the local area
  • Maximise effectiveness of stock management, trade counter/collection point and fleet operations to fully meet customer needs and agreed service levels
  • Accountable that the territory remains cost effective by managing courier and temporary worker cost whilst reducing/eliminating unnecessary costs and remaining within budgets.
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety standards are prioritised and met in line with local legislation and that any risk or hazard is reported accordingly
  • Adherence to Company compliance requirements and standard operating procedures
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and collaboration with the CSM to ensure vending proposition fulfilment across the Territory.
  • Proactively build cross functional relationships and collaboration to ensure key business objectives are achieve
  • Effective management of multi locations, resourcing, communication, health & safety
  • Direct management of non-Hub team member

Role RequirementsExperience and Knowledge:

  • Previous branch and or Multi-site / business management experience
  • Strong customer relationship management experience
  • Previous warehouse management experience
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience within an industrial consumable / industrial supplies environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of Lean Management principles would be an advantage

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educated to GCSE – level or above
  • Remote team leadership experience essential
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management essential
  • Self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
  • Great communication Skills
  • Strong analytical skills (reporting and interpretation)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to lead, inspire and develop a high performing team
