The objective of the DEMINAL project is to critically examine the (inter)national legal framework for medical operations/activities in case of possible crisis and/or art. 3 and 5 NATO-Treaty situations, and to offer policy support and substantiated proposals in case of gaps or when changes/updates are needed or advisory. Issues range from e.g. international agreements on clinical guidelines in resource constrained environments over the implications of battlefield conditions (large number of patients, prolonged care by embedded medics, …) to logistical aspects.Main TasksYou will conduct multifaceted research (focusing on international agreements, IHL, human rights, patient rights, data protection, procurement of pharmaceutical products, health surveillance obligations, medical professions regulations, etc.) into questions relating to, as well as (necessary) changes or additions to, the (inter)national legal framework applicable to medical operations/actions under Artt. 3 and 5 NATO-Treaty.
