Job description

We are currently looking for a Resident Engineer to join a leading global engineering consultancy for a site-based position in the Galway region. The successful candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering, with a particular focus on roads and infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities:

• Site supervision and management of bridge maintenance and rehabilitation projects
• Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Assisting with contract administration, specifically under Public Works contracts
• Monitoring and reporting on the progress of construction works related to roadworks, drainage, signage, bridgeworks, and other infrastructure
• Supporting the Resident Engineering team with day-to-day activities on-site
• Maintaining accurate records and providing regular reports

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, particularly in the construction, repair, or design of infrastructure projects
• Prior experience with structure inspections would be advantageous
• Experience with Public Works contracts is a plus
• Strong knowledge of current health and safety regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
