Sales & Events Executive – Clayton Hotel GalwayWe have a fantastic new vacancy for Sales & Events Executive in the excellent Clayton Hotel GalwayObjective of the RoleWorking as part of the sales and events team to actively promote and sell the image and services of the hotel in addition to the Dalata Hotel Group. This role will involve the maximisation of revenue and achievement of agreed sales targetsKey Duties and Responsibilities

• To manage an agreed list of accounts on behalf of the hotel and be responsible for the development of the revenue levels from these accounts. To recognise and capitalise on all opportunities from these existing businesses; to maintain them to their optimum level.
• To constantly recognise and develop new accounts from the local corporate markets.
• To participate fully in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, social events, promotions, etc.
• To carry out regular competitor research projects as requested.
• Attending local and national events and identifying new opportunities for the hotel.
• Build a rapport with potential clients to convert enquires into confirmed bookings.
• Carry out showrounds of the venue at times suitable to clients (including week-ends) with the view to achieving bookings.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Requirements:

• To have at least 1 year’s experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
• Reactive sales experience is a must with proactive sales experience desirable.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills – able to work on own initiative
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
