Sales Manager, DublinIt would be a distinct advantage if the right candidate had fluency in either German, French or Italian.Monday to Friday 9.00-5.00
Hybrid work modelManages all aspects of employee life cycle for global sales team including Industry Representative and Market Developers. Develops, implements, and executes strategic plan to retain and grows global sales in their respective industry. Defines and refines sales processes and sales roles in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations. Sets sales territories, defines resource needs, and collaborates with internal and external resources to fill those needs.Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates job competencies and remains accountable for performance in area of responsibility.
- Establishes annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for respective industry that successfully integrate with overall business team or company strategies and participates actively in Recruiting and Employee Life Cycle Management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks.
- Sets quarterly performance expectations and coaches, trains and aligns employee performance in all global interaction centres to attain product line objectives and targets.
- Participates in customer interactions to assist the sales team in retaining business and attaining new business.
- Gains team advantages and opportunity momentum by observing and orienting prior to making decisions and acting on problem solving and solutions development; shows interest in industry and global trends; exhibits some versatility when interacting with customers, suppliers, and outsourced relationships; and effectively conveys ideas and concepts via multiple modes of communication.
- Aligns behaviour and actions with culture by showing up with energy, promoting and adapting to change, initiating and promoting innovation, leading with courage, and having fun.
Desired background and skillsEducation and industry experience within the chemical industry is essential.
- Strong PC skills, database experience preferred
- Strong telephone skills
- Communication and active listening skills
- Consultative selling skills
- Problem-solving and negotiation
- Experience with customer and territory management
- Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy
- Fluency in English and German – additional skills in French, Italian, or Dutch preferred
- Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in business-to-business sales organization, preferably as a Market Developer, or 5+ years equivalent technical sales experience
- Occasional travel
