The State Farm Arena marketing team is responsible for the planning, operations, and execution of all non-Hawks events at State Farm Arena as well as the State Farm Arena brand. This group works directly with the Arena Programming and Operations teams and show promoters to facilitate execution of world-class events from launch to day-of-show, and leverages various marketing channels to connect and motivate fans to drive ticket sales, achieve global partnership objectives and create a best-in-class experience for fans.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant of Arena Marketing will assist the Arena Marketing team with marketing and promotion of non-Hawks events and managing State Farm Arena social media and digital assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with managing internal promotional calendars and trafficking of marketing assets for each non-Hawks events. This includes channels such as in-arena/external LEDs, social media, email, website, and brand communications.
- Assist with managing State Farm Arena social media accounts including maintaining content calendar, collaborating with internal teams to develop content and building and disseminating reporting.
- Assist with artist gifting and back of house activations for concerts and shows.
- Assist with event days including assisting with VIP events and media as needed, managing radio remotes, facilitating activation requests from GP and be on call for promoter requests on day of show.
- Assist with post-event marketing recaps for each show.
- Help manage content on StateFarmArena.com.
- Help with social media post ideation as assigned.
- Stay current with social media trends and topics.
- Remain flexible and nimble to assist with additional projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong writing, grammar, and communication skills with good attention to detail.
- Project management skills: ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
- Passion and curiosity for entertainment and pop culture.
- Ability to organize and oversee multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Academic and/or work experiences related to one or more of the following in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
- Experience working in social media for a brand is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, etc.)
- Experience with social media reporting and analytics is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Comfortable with working non-traditional hours (i.e., some nights, weekends and the occasional holiday may be required).
