Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

This role will support Caterpillar Inc. Building Construction Product’s (BCP) global sourcing strategies, supplier cost performance, and supporting the division’s supply chain strategy. The Senior Accountant will be expected to be a contributing team member and perform complex accounting work that supports business processes.

The incumbent will be exposed to a variety of accounting functions and will perform a high level of compilation with a broad range of analysis work. The Senior Accountant will review and validate relevant data and data sources, analyze information, and provide feedback.

Areas of responsibility are varied and of medium complexity, including:

• Provide cost and decision support to guide sourcing strategies and supplier cost performance.

• Reporting, forecasting and analysis of material purchases.

• Support development of targets and goals with supply chain teams.

• Presentation and explanation of results to management.

• Engage with corporate workstreams to enable the Global Finance Strategy.

• Leveraging database systems and tools to produce results and insights.

Basic Requirements:

• University degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or business-related degree

• Extensive accounting experience

Managing Multiple Priorities : Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Strategic Thinking : Knowledge of the importance of “big picture” thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Salary: £59,500-£72,500 depending on experience
