Senior Associate Analyst – Telecom Expense Management (TEM)

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for the day to day activities related to processing of Amgen Telecom related vendor invoices totaling $30M annually. This role will independently and proactively manage Amgen’s 3rd party TEM’s bill processing vendor Tangoe to ensure accurate cost center allocation for chargeback and manage vendor invoice payment life cycle. This role will also have heavy interaction with multiple telecom carriers to meet critical billing and provisioning deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact to Amgen’s Telecom Expense 3rd party bill processing vendor Tangoe.
  • Manage the weekly payment lifecycle process for an annual vendor spend of $30M ensuring accurate cost allocation
  • Heavy interaction with Internal IS collaborators related to billing and provisioning of voice and data circuits
  • Heavy interaction with Finance stakeholders ensuring all finance guidelines are managed on behalf IS and finance stakeholders.
  • Heavy interaction with Amgen’s Telecom providers for Voice and Data
  • Manage Amgen’s telecom circuit inventories of telecom vendors
  • Generate and distribute financial reports to support stakeholders such as expense trends, accrual and forecasting.
  • Position will participate in transition of billing platforms and possible work in dual TEM’s platforms
  • Drive process improvements while exploring opportunities to automate processes

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree and 1 to 3 years of experience in Telecom Expense Management Processes, Vendor Management, SAP & MS Office Tools OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in Telecom Expense Management Processes, Vendor Management, SAP & MS Office Tools OR
  • Diploma and 7 to 9 years of experience in Telecom Expense Management Processes, Vendor Management, SAP & MS Office Tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills (Not more than 3 to 5):

  • Telecom Expense Management Processes
  • Vendor Management
  • Carrier Provisioning
  • Basic Finance
  • Microsoft Excel, ability to create pivot tables, perform VLOOKUP for data comparisons, ability to manipulate large volumes of data
  • SAP, Microsoft Office Tools

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Microsoft Teams, SharePoint

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to prioritize successfully.
  • Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
