Job description
Senior/ Principle Banking & Finance Associate to join a broad but specialist team A leading City firm are looking for a Banking & Finance Associate to join their small and specialised Surety Team that sits within their wider Banking, Finance and Restructuring team. Examples of work include a £900mil deal that involved guaranteeing safeguarding obligations or a recent transaction that was guaranteeing the pension for a wealthy client. The partners are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. They are looking to invest in someone who will be involved in growing out this team and seeing them out the door on retirement. They are very hands on and can provide excellent training to get someone very quickly up to speed. They have worked together since 1998 providing stability and commeradery that has led to them being the leaders in this area. This is a truly exciting role which would suit someone with strong transactional skills and the confidence to network. This is a highly sociable environment where you will be encouraged to meet clients for coffee, dinners, football or other networking events. This does not require business development on your part, the relationships are well established between the team and premium insurance clients. You will be running with mid-level transactions and acting as second to Lucy and Justin on the larger projects. This is a middle management role so will offer you the responsibility of leading the juniors in the team once you’re up to speed. BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
