Data and Process Management Office (DPMO) acts as the leading function for the data governance programme of the Bank in the UK. It is responsible for establishing and ensuring implementation of related policies including data governance policies and undertaking data lifecycle management to ensure data standards and data quality. As a Senior Associate – Business Analysis, you will be responsible for the business data flow analysis. You will also support with automation processes across the Bank. This is a full time permanent position.Key responsibilities

  • Assist and support all business departments to identify data item requirements (Add/Delete/Modify) and formulate secured data flow according to business requirements for IT to implement
  • Carry out data assessment of the Business Requirement Documents (BRD) raised by various business lines to ensure data driven business processes and IT solutions
  • Support with data analysis in relation to relevant IT projects
  • Develop processes and policies related to data governance upon business requirement management
  • Prepare data requirements from business lines for IT to implement
  • Collaborate with IT and business lines for the development, testing, implementation and upgrade of IT projects across the Bank
  • Undertake data research on potential software solutions to enhance work efficiency, process automation and data security
  • Familiarise with data governance related policies and procedures and the functions of the existing data platforms and applications
  • Coordinate with QA teams to perform system and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring new systems meet business needs
  • Prepare various reports required by Management, auditors and regulators

Requirements

  • Degree educated in IT, Data Analytics, Project Management, Banking, or Finance
  • Data application development or data governance experience
  • Experience in software development or project management is preferable
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), APIs and methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall is desirable
  • Experience in Payments Projects (e.g. CHAPS, SWIFT) and clearance of payments, securities and derivatives transactions is preferable
  • Good awareness and understanding of compliance regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Knowledge in Project, Visio, SQL, Python and Tableau is desirable
  • Attention to details

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin is preferred but not essential
